The Final Push!

Image
It's here!  The last week before we put this in front of our audiences! This should be super exciting to everyone...it is to me.  A bit of nerves, of course, and some uncertainty about where things are at visually and technically, but the product is totally ready for its final push. On that note, a couple of, well, notes: 1) Actors - My notes from last Thursday will have to wait until Tuesday.  I'm just not going to have an opportunity to key those in.  I apologize! 2) Crew - All run crew begin their work with us on Tuesday, 11/1.  That includes only running crew, management, and actors.  Any costume or makeup that are working the run of the show (not just the build) aren't called until Sunday's Tech/Dress.  Scenic are only called for Scenic, Sound for Sound, etc.  Check the calendar 3) The 10/31 afterschool build will be for lighting only.   All others are excused, unless you want to help on lights. 4) I've moved the 'what' of the 11/1 rehe...

A couple of schedule changes this week..

Image
Hey y'all -  A couple of schedule tweaks...should make things easier for folks: 10/12 - After PSAT day, I'd love to have anyone who's brain isn't mush come in and get a couple hours work on the set...130p-400p.  Rehearsal remains the same at 400p. 10/13 - In light of Homecoming, and the fact that some of our transitional stuff isn't ready, I'm switching that day to a Scenic Build...no rehearsal.  We'll be there from 345p-600p to work on the set...enjoy the rehearsal day off! Still working on Costume scheduling...should have it soon. - jm

October Calendar - Rehearsals, Scenic Builds, and Sound Builds

Image
As promised...the October Calendar ! Actors: Please look over the dates of rehearsal.  Each day, like the one for 10/4, will soon have exact call times.  If your character is involved in the listed scenes, you'll need to be there during the times for each scene.  **Note: If you're a dead body during that scene, talk with me 1 on 1 as to whether you'll be needed, or if you can go about your merry day. Crew/Leads/Apprentices: Please look over the dates for Scenic and Sound Builds.  Please email me as to the dates and times you can attend during the month of October! Remaining Team: I am actively working on securing dates and times for Lighting and Costume...thanks for your patience! Sorry for the delay...Looking forward to the work! - jm

Schedule for Week of 10/2-10/8 (and beyond?) Posting 10/3...+ today!

Hey y'all -  After getting up at 430am, bustling out to the airport, flying home from LA, driving home from PDX, immediately driving to Eugene for a soccer game, watching son's team lose badly (though the score flattered Eugene a bit), and arriving home at 830pm...I'm wiped out. So...no weekly schedule yet.  I'll assemble and post it tomorrow once I can think clearly again.   For tomorrow, though, I'm calling everyone in the first scene of the play + prologue.  There's a certain symmetry to starting blocking with the opening of the show, and so it shall be.  That's: -Wadsworth -Yvette -Cook + The Game Pieces (Mustard, Scarlet, Green, Plum, White, & Peacock) Time to get it rolling! - jm
